The Offroad/Offline Navigation App offers a comprehensive solution for outdoor navigation, featuring topographic maps primarily sourced from the Russian General Staff. These maps are recognized as some of the best available for various regions in Africa and Asia.

This application provides mapping capabilities akin to those found in reputable GPS handheld devices from manufacturers like Garmin and Magellan.

The Soviet Military Maps serve as an exceptional moving map application for off-road trips, adventure travels, and expeditions. For those planning cross-country journeys across regions like the Sahara Desert or trekking tours in the Himalayas, these Russian topographic maps offer a valuable alternative to other mapping sources. In addition to detailed topography, these maps feature many minor trails and unpaved roads often missing from other datasets. Notably, the Russian maps come with supplementary English labels.

Important Note: The Soviet Military Maps were primarily created in the 1980s and may be less relevant for industrialized countries. Outside of Africa and Asia, users may find OSM or Google map layers more useful. It is also essential to note that this app does not provide direct "Turn-by-Turn" navigation; however, users can easily switch to Google Navigation when a waypoint is selected.
